Michael Frolik was the only Blackhawk to medal at the 2012 IIHF World Championships, capturing a bronze medal courtesy of the Czech Republic's 3-2 victory over Finland Sunday.
Frolik did not record a point in the match. All three of the Czech Republic's goals came in the first period as Petr Prucha, Jiri Novotny and David Krejci beat Finland netminder Petri Vehanen.
Later in the day, Russia took Gold with a 6-2 win over Slovakia. Washington's Alexander Semin scored two goals and had three points while Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and three points. Alex Ovechkin had a pair of assists.

Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara scored both goals for the Slovaks.
