Illinois and Colorado should be a closely-contested battle in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but if their most famous alumnus has anything to say the Illini should run away with things.

Extra Mustard, a Sports Illustrated blog self-described as a place "where culture meets sports," ranked all 68 NCAA Tournament teams on the "coolest person who went there."

And it should come as no surprise that the Fighting Illini came in at No. 6 with the legend himself, Mr. Hugh Hefner.

According to EM, Hefner graduated from Champaign with a B.A. in psychology and a double minor in creative writing and art, needing just two-and-a-half years to complete his courses. Hefner then took his talents to Los Angeles and took his art minor to a whole new level, founding Playboy magazine and turning into, as all men can attest, one of the cooler guys out there.

Colorado struggled in the "cool" department, ranking 44th with Christopher Meloni, known most recently for his work on the T.V. show, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

Taking home first place in the rankings was Missouri, with Brad Pitt. George Wendt, who played Norm on Cheers, took home the trophy for Notre Dame.

Who got snubbed from your alma mater, and which school was ranked too high? Too low?
