Oklahoma State quarterback Wes Lunt has decided to transfer to the University of Illinois.
Lunt started five games as a true freshman for OSU this past season, throwing for over 1,100 yards including six touchdowns and seven interceptions.
The newest member of the Fighting Illini settled on U of I after OSU blocked his request to transfer to Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Southern Mississippi. Oklahoma State also prohibited Lunt from transferring to any Big 12, SEC, PAC 12 schools, or Central Michigan.
Lunt grew up a University of Illinois fan and believes the spread offense will be a good fit. The quarterback must sit out all of the upcoming 2013 season before entering Illinois with three years of eligibility in 2014.
