Is this the Nets' new logo?

The Nets played their last game Newark, New Jersey on Monday and even with a blowout loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the game drew a sellout crowd as fans visited to pay their farewells to a franchise they called their own for 35 seasons.

The Nets will be moving to Brooklyn next season and thanks to the folks over at Deadspin, we get our first look at the teams new logo.

The photo was posted on Twitter by a person who is doing IT work in the brand new Barclay Center and tweeting photos as he works. He either has the clearance to tweet the pictures, or has to be in jeopardy of being fired.

The Nets will play their final regular season game tonight against the Toronto Raptors and a lot of work is to be done in the off-season.

They will try to keep All-Star point guard Deron Williams from leaving via free agency and pair him, possibly, with the likes of All-Star Dwight Howard, whose season is over after having surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back.

Preps recruiting: Illini add another 2017 piece

Preps recruiting: Illini add another 2017 piece

Illinois and head coach Lovie Smith added another piece to the Fighting Illini Class of 2017 late last night when Prospect two-star ranked offensive tackle Alex Palczewski (6-foot-6, 270 pounds) gave Illinois his verbal commitment.

"I felt extremely comfortable at Illinois," Palczewski told Orange and Blue News publisher Doug Buschon last night. "I know with Coach Lovie Smith there, that program is going to go sky high. We're going to win."

Palczewski, who flew under most recruiting radar screens missed his entire 2015 junior season because of an injury is now the 20th known verbal commitment in the Illinois Class of 2017 and the ninth known in-state commitment.
