As expected, DaVaris Daniels is officially back at Notre Dame.

The wide receiver was granted re-admission to the university on Wednesday and will begin summer classes next month. Daniels was exiled from campus for the spring semester due to his fall semester GPA dropping below 2.0.

Daniels hauled in 49 passes for 745 yards and seven touchdowns in 2013, but more importantly he's the only receiver who's worked extensively with quarterback Everett Golson. Daniels caught 31 passes in 2012, including six for 115 yards in the BCS Championship against Alabama.

In 2012, Golson completed only two passes to his current crop of pass-catchers: one to Chris Brown and one to Ben Koyack.

Golson set the most recent precedent for Daniels' return, with the quarterback booted from campus for the 2013 fall semester but earning re-admission last December. Men's basketball guard Jerian Grant was granted re-admission to Notre Dame on Wednesday, as well.
