Dismissed Notre Dame safety Max Redfield expressed remorse in a series of tweets Sunday for the "poor decisions" he made that caused him to be kicked off the football team last month.

Redfield, who was charged with and pleaded not guilty to illegal possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana after his arrest in Fulton County, Ind., Aug. 19, was in line to be a third-year starter at free safety before coach Brian Kelly decided to dismiss him from the team Aug. 21.
