Following its 23-13 win over BYU, Notre Dame re-entered the latest AP poll released Sunday at No. 25.

Notre Dame's win, coupled with losses by No. 24 Ole Miss and Minnesota (the only unranked team to receive more votes than Notre Dame last week), vaulted the Irish back into the poll for the first time since losing to Pitt Nov. 9.

Notre Dame received 68 votes in the latest AP poll, about half of what No. 24 Duke earned.

The Irish weren't ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll, falling 30 points shy of No. 25 Cincinnati.

At 8-3, Notre Dame has wins over two top-15 teams (No. 11 Michigan State, No. 13 Arizona State) as well as a win over No. 23 USC. A possibility exists in which Michigan State and Arizona State win their respective conference title games, giving Notre Dame two wins over two potentially top 10 conference champions.

Only one of the three teams to beat Notre Dame this year -- No. 20 Oklahoma -- is ranked in the AP poll.
