Notre Dame nose guard Louis Nix spent Saturday at home, nursing his knee (tendinitis) and offering a take on Florida State's drubbing of N.C. State ("Jimbo fisher will be hit with a bullying lawsuit tomorrow," he tweeted).

Nix is questionable for Saturday's game against Navy, coach Brian Kelly said Sunday, although he sounded as if he was leaning more toward doubtful.

"It'll really depend on his practices and the quality of his practices," Kelly said. "It's really hard to say until we really get out there."

Notre Dame had a few players banged up against Air Force, but only linebacker Ishaq Williams (knee) was deemed doubtful for Navy by Kelly.

Left guard Chris Watt (knee) and defensive end Sheldon Day (ankle) are probable for Navy, Kelly said.
