Louis Nix posted a photo to his Instagram account Thursday picturing the famed golden dome of Notre Dame in a car's rear view mirror.

On Friday, Sports Business Journal's Liz Mullen reported Nix signed with Five-Star Athlete Management's Todd France and Bryan Ayrault, all but confirming his decision to enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

A message left to France's office and a voicemail left to Ayrault have not been returned. A Notre Dame spokesman could not confirm if Nix has made any decision on his future.

Once a college football player comes to a verbal or written agreement with an agent, he is no longer eligible at the college level.

While Nix insisted last month he was weighing a return for a fifth year at Notre Dame, his shot in the NFL likely became too great to pass up. Despite undergoing knee surgery last month, Nix is projected as a first-round draft pick next spring, with some early mock drafts having him going in the Top 15 picks.
