Parker will have MRI on his injured right heel

According to multiple sources, Simeon Career Academy small forward Jabari Parker will undergo an MRI on his right heel this week.
Parker injured the heel last week while playing in Lithuania for Team USA at the FIBA U17 World Championship Tournament. The Americans went a perfect 8-0, defeating Australia 95-62 in the championship round.
The No. 1 overall recruit in the 2013 class played just five of the eight games, finishing as the team's third leading scorer at 12.6 points per game.
Depending on what the MRI reveals, Parker may miss the July evaluation period while he recovers from his injury. For most will-be seniors, the July period is a time for players to showcase their skills and earn scholarship offers, but that won't be an issue for Parker, who essentially will choose where he attends school in 2013.
Parker plays for the Mac Irvin Fire AAU team, and was expected to play at the Peach Jam this week.
Last week Parker released on Twitter a list of 10 schools he was considering, in no order: BYU, DePaul, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina and Stanford.
Illinois, which seemed to have the inside track on Parker while Bruce Weber was at the helm, was notably left off Parker's list.
