School: St. Joseph
2015-16 record: 25-10, 8-1 in the Chicago Catholic League North
Postseason results: Lost to Belleville Althoff, 66-62, in the Class 3A state semifinals
Players to watch: Sophomore point guard Marquise Walker was the state's most productive freshman last season as he started the whole season on varsity. Walker picked up multiple high-major scholarship offers this summer. Senior Jason Towers and junior Ahmad Muhammad are also returning starters.

Why they're in the Power Rankings: The Chargers were a bit of a surprise to make Peoria in Class 3A and did so with only one senior, center Nick Rakocevic. Filling Rakocevic's shoes will be difficult since he was a first-team All-Area selection, but Walker could be a star this season and he has plenty of returning talent around him.
Did you know? St. Joseph is coming off of back-to-back appearances in Peoria in Class 3A, the first time they've been downstate since 1999.
