School: Montini Catholic
Head coach: Chris Andriano
How they fared in 2015: 14-0 (4-0) CCL Green Conference. Montini Catholic made the 2015 Class 6A state playoff field. The Broncos defeated Wauconda, Kaneland, DeKalb, Prairie Ridge and Crete-Monee to capture the 2015 Class 6A state title.
Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Broncos repeat in 2016?
Names to watch this season: RB Prince Walker; DT Joe Spivak
Biggest holes to fill: Can the Broncos reload at a few key spots, including quarterback and the offensive and defensive lines?
EDGY's Early Take: The Broncos, despite graduation losses, should be just fine this season. Western Michigan commit RB Prince Walker is back and will play a large part in the offense. Junior QB Brad Norgle looked strong this summer and - trust me - the overall talent level at Montini is very high. Biggest concern? A nine-week regular season schedule that is absolutely loaded from week-to-week.
