School: Waubonsie Valley

Head coach: Paul Murphy

How they fared in 2015: 8-5 (4-4) DuPage Valley Fox Conference. Waubonsie Valley made the Class 8A state playoff field. The Warriors defeated Edwardsville, Neuqua Valley and Naperville Central before losing to Marist in the semifinals.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Warriors make another deep postseason run this fall?

Names to watch this season: QB Tanner Westwood, OL Dan Dominiak, DB Derric Lee

Biggest holes to fill: Can Waubonsie Valley replace graduated do-it-all Max Ihry?

EDGY's early take: The Warriors made a terrific postseason run last fall after barely getting into the state playoff field. Waubonsie Valley brings back 15 starters (8 offense, 7 defense) from a season ago. While it's never easy just getting into the state playoff field playing in the DuPage Valley, the Warriors are primed for another big season.
