CSN Preps Power Rankings: No. 14 Prairie Ridge

Share

School: Prairie Ridge

Head coach: Chris Schremp

How they fared in 2015: 11-2 (6-0) Fox Valley Fox Conference. Prairie Ridge made the 2015 Class 6A state playoff field. The Wolves defeated Crystal Lake South, Lake Forest and Riverside-Brookfield before losing to eventual state champion Montini Catholic in the semifinal round.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Wolves make another deep run in the postseason?

Names to watch this season: Quarterback Samson Evans, offensive lineman/defensive lineman Jeff Jenkins, tight end Austen Ferbet (Army commit)

Biggest holes to fill: The Wolves need to replace four starting offensive linemen from a season ago.

EDGY's Early Take: Prairie Ridge has one of the state's top playmakers back in Evans, along with a good core of returning starters. If the Wolves can get its young but talented offensive line moving in its power running game, this is a team that's very capable of making a state-title run.
