School: Cary-Grove

Head coach: Brad Seaburg

How they fared in 2015: 11-2 (4-1) Fox Valley Conference. Cary-Grove made the 2015 Class 7A state playoff field. The Trojans defeated Belleville West, Benet Academy and Batavia before losing to Glenbard West in the 7A semifinals.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Trojans continue to be the Kings of the Fox Valley?

Names to watch this season: FB/LB Ty Pennington, LB Kevin Pedersen

Biggest holes to fill: Who will be under center running the Trojans offense?

EDGY's Early Take: The Trojans will look towards four-year starting All-State FB/LB Ty Pennington on offense while the defense (6 starters) will have a ton of speed and experience back. Cary-Grove will get a big test right out of the gates but in the end the Trojans will again challenge for a deep state playoff run.
