CSNChicago.com preps reporter "Edgy" Tim O’Halloran spotlights 100 high school football teams in 100 days. The first 75 team profiles focus on teams making strides across Chicagoland and elsewhere in the state. Starting today, we’ll unveil the @CSNPreps Top 25 Power Rankings, leading up to kickoff on Friday, Aug. 26. You can view Edgy Tim's other football previews here.

School: Crete-Monee

Head coach: John Konecki

How they fared in 2015: 11-3 (5-0) Southland Conference. Crete-Monee made the 2015 Class 6A state playoff field. The Warriors defeated Rock Island, Lemont, Sacred Heart Griffin and Hinsdale South before losing to Montini Catholic in the 6A state title game.

Biggest storyline in 2016: Can the Warriors win it all in Class 6A in 2016?

Names to watch this season: DL John Mitchell, DB Juawan Treadwell, QB Isaiah Rucker

Biggest holes to fill: Can anyone take over the big play abilities lost from graduated ATH Clint Ratkovich (Western Illinois)?

EDGY's Early Take: The Warriors bring back seven returning starters from their 2015 Class 6A state runner-up squad and also have a roster filled with up and coming underclassmen talent. If the Warriors can reload a bit on the offensive line this team could challenge for another state title this fall.
