Who wins the Battle of St. Charles when North takes on East? Can Maine South win on the road this week against Palatine? Which DuPage Valley Conference team can take another step toward the state playoffs when Lake Park takes on Naperville North? Watch the show on CSN or live stream at csnchicago.com/watchlive.

Bolingbrook at No. 7 Homewood-Flossmoor, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Bolingbrook (3-0) has put together a very strong season behind a balanced offense and a speedy, talent-heavy defense. Keep an eye on senior quarterback Anthony Vespo, junior running back Anthony Williams Jr. and senior wide receiver I'Shawn Stewart. The Raiders' defense will look to senior lineman Deshaun Mallory. They also feature one of the state's top secondaries. H-F (3-0) just reloads year in and year out under head coach Craig Buzea. The Vikings will rely on senior running back Justin Hall (an Northern Illinois commit) along with senior defensive lineman Jeff Griffin (also an NIU commit) and senior linebacker Mario Wright II (committed to Western Kentucky). Can the Raiders' defense take away the Vikings' running game? Can the H-F defense get the football back and give the offense multiple touches?

EDGY's Pick: Homewood Flossmoor 17, Bolingbrook 14

No. 2 Prairie Ridge at Crystal Lake South, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Prairie Ridge (3-0) head coach Chris Schremp has the Wolves rolling. The offense, led by senior quarterback Samson Evans, has scored 107 points in two weeks. Crystal Lake South (0-3) has a big offensive line led by junior tackle Trevor Keegan. The Gators, coached by Rob Fontana, are in search of their first win. They will need a huge effort from the defense.

EDGY's Pick: Prairie Ridge 42, Crystal Lake South 20

Bloom at No. 23 Crete-Monee, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take:  Crete-Monee (2-1) has been getting an all-state caliber season so far from senior quarterback Isaiah Rucker, while the Warriors defense has played well against some top-notch competition so far this season. Bloom Township (2-1) bounced back nicely last week, beating Collins 28-0 after losing to Andrew in Week 2. Can the Blazing Trojans hang with the Warriors' speed and athleticism for four quarters?

EDGY's Pick: Crete-Monee 40, Bloom Township 21

Oswego at Plainfield East, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Oswego (2-1) is looking to gain some ground in the Southwest Prairie Conference race with a win this week. The Panthers will look to their running game, led by junior running back Charles Coleman, along with the play-action passing game of senior quarterback Levi Olson. First-year Plainfield East (1-2) head coach Terrance Terry will try to get his offense back on track this week after being shutout by Minooka last week 21-0. The Bengals will look toward senior defensive end Jack Sullivan (a Purdue commit), running back Justin Pringle and quarterback Jaden King. Can Plainfield East match up against Oswego's line play led by Iowa commit Noah Shannon?

EDGY's Pick: Oswego 28, Plainfield East 13

St. Charles North at No. 12 St. Charles East, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: A terrific rivalry game here. St. Charles North (2-1) features an offense led by senior quarterback Mike Hohensee, and he has multiple weapons to chose from including junior wide receiver/safety Tyler Nubin. St. Charles East (3-0) will look to "pound and ground" with its option attack. They are paced by senior quarterback Clayton Isbell and senior running back/linebacker Nick Garlisch (a South Dakota State commit). Can the North Stars' defense get the football back from the Saints' offense?

EDGY's Pick: St. Charles East 27, St. Charles North 24 (OT)

No. 3 Maine South at No. 14 Palatine, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: This game could easily be the best of several strong crossover games between the Central Suburban Conference and the Mid-Suburban Conference this season. Maine South (2-1) will look to get the Hawks' spread offense in gear with senior running back Fotis Kokosioulis (an NIU commit), senior quarterback John O'Sullivan and a deep group of receivers. Palatine (2-1), under first-year head coach Cory Olson, has won two straight games. The Pirates' offense has clicked with senior quarterback DJ Angelaccio and a strong group of receivers led by senior Johnny O'Shea. Can the Palatine defense slow down the Maine South spread offense? Can the Maine South defense contain Palatine's balanced offense?

EDGY's Pick: Maine South 31, Palatine 27

Lake Park at Naperville North, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Lake Park (2-1) was stunned last week in a 20-17 last-second loss to DeKalb. Look for the Lancers to bounce back this week behind senior quarterback Jackson Behles, wide receivers Keonta Nixon and Diamante Smith and a big, physical defensive line. Naperville North (3-0) has gotten its offense into high gear behind senior quarterback Drake Davis and senior wide receiver Nick Calcagno, while the defense is led by senior linebacker Nick Marrano. Can the Lake Park defense slow down the Huskies' passing attack?

EDGY's Pick: Naperville North 37, Lake Park 24

Viewers' Choice Game: Wilmington at Peotone, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Wilmington (2-1) head coach Jeff Reents and Peotone (3-0) head coach Apostolou Tsiamas start Interstate 8 Small Division play this week. Both the Wildcats and the Blue Devils will look to establish the running game first and foremost. Keep an eye out for Peotone running back Chandler Gartner and fullback Dillon Beuge, while Wilmington counters with running backs Connor Dempsey and Matteo Lombardi. Last possession wins?

EDGY's Pick: Wilmington 28, Peotone 27
