CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on August 29th.

Head coach:  Jeff Reents

Assistant Coaches: Barry Southall, Rob Murphy, Chad Farrell and Bob Bolser

Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Wildcats make a deep state-playoff run in 2014? Wilmington welcomes back 12 starters from a season ago.

Name to watch:  Wilmington senior QB/DB Mason Southall and senior RB/DB Alex Zlomie will be asked to provide leadership on both sides of the ball again in 2014.

Biggest Hole To Fill:  The Wildcats have a ton of skills back but just one starter returns on each side of the line.

EDGY's Early Take: Wilmington has experience and a strong senior class in 2014. If the young linemen can come around this is a team to watch in the postseason. The first two games of the 2014 season (Sandwich and Coal City) will tell us a lot about these Wildcats.
