CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening-night kickoff on Aug. 29.

School: Lincoln-Way North

Head coach: George Czart

Assistant Coaches: Dale Augustine, Brett Hefner, Brad Sievers, Mike Sieja, Rob Glielmi, John Borgia, Mitch Nowicki

Biggest storyline in 2014: Can someone step in this fall and replace the lost offensive production from graduated running back Julian Hylton (Illinois)?

Name to watch: Senior QB Ryan Arthur (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) will be a three-year varsity starter for the Phoenix this fall.

Biggest Hole To Fill: While the offense brings back nine returning starters, the defense will need to reload with just five starters back from a season ago.

EDGY's Early Take: It's shaping up to be another good season in the Lincoln-Way district. North will have experience back on offense and the Phoenix feature a head coach in George Czart  and a veteran coaching staff who will bring along a less than experienced defense in 2014. I fully expect the Phoenix to challenge for a conference crown and earn a state playoff spot this fall.
