School: Plainfield East

Head coach: Mike Romeli

Assistant Coaches: Nick Curby, Adam O'Reel, Tyler Hill, Jason Vollmer, Adam Troll, Dave Byrd, Kelly Henkel, Eric Foster, Dave Rafter, Dave Early, Mike Adamson, Ken Holowczalk

Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Bengals make it back-to-back state playoff appearances in 2014? East made the state playoffs for the first time in school history last fall and the Bengals welcome back several starters in 2014.

Name to watch: Senior DL Daniel Jackson is verbally committed to Western Michigan.

Biggest Hole To Fill: Plainfield East has experience back but the overall depth could be an issue if the injury bug hits.

EDGY's Early Take: Plainfield East has an impressive quarterback in Cole Kotopka, plus a home-run hitting running back in junior Jake Mayon and nine starters back on defense. Plainfield East could be primed to make another strong run in 2014.
