Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Broncos win a state title in 2014? Montini Catholic's 2013 Class 8A state title game loss to Springfield Sacred-Heart Griffin has served as major motivation this offseason.
Name to watch: Senior wide receiver Leon Thornton (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) is verbally committed to Indiana.
Biggest hole To fill: The Broncos will need to reload in the offensive skills department with only Thornton as the lone returning starter.
EDGY's early take: Montini will again deal with a very difficult schedule including a new conference in the Chicago Catholic League White this season. If the Broncos can catch a break or two and stay healthy, they will again challenge for a Class 5A state title.
