CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on August 29th.

School: Ridgewood

Head coach: Chris Zack

Assistant Coaches: Pat Rossi, Chris Uhle, Vince Fanelli

Biggest storyline in 2014: How will the newly realigned Metro Suburban conference affect the Rebels starting in 2014? With the addition of new conference names such as Chicago Christian, Walther Lutheran and Guerin Prep to the schedule, the Rebels will be be tested week-in and week-out.

Name to watch: Senior OL Joe Nagel (6-foot-3, 275 pounds) has size and a ton of varsity experience. Nagel is drawing various college looks so far this summer.

Biggest Hole To Fill: The Rebels graduated its entire offensive production from a season ago. The Ridgewood offense will rely on an experienced offensive line and receivers to help some of the new faces especially at quarterback and running back.

EDGY's Early Take: The Rebels have a real shot here at being an immediate player and contender in the newly realigned Metro Suburban (small division). Ridgewood is getting a chance to play a more enrollment friendly conference slate after years of taking on bigger schools.
