School: Niles Notre Dame
Head coach: Mike Hennessey
Assistant Coaches: Dan Defranza, Joe Gale, Rob Rosengrant, Pat Gallagher, Dan Bukal, Larry Amidei
Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Dons find offensive life after Chris James? Graduated running back Chris James (Pitt) has moved on and the Dons will need to replace his offensive production from a season ago.
Name to watch: Senior OL Brian Brand (6-foot-1, 220 pounds) will battle all comers and exemplifies the blue collar approach this fall for the Dons.
Biggest Hole To Fill: Besides replacing RB Chris James the Dons also need to find eight new starters on defense.
EDGY's Early Take: Notre Dame always has talent and hard-nosed kids year-in and year-out. If the Dons can settle on a quarterback, the offense will be fine. If the defense can develop early, all the better here for the Dons. Life is never easy in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.
