CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on August 29th.
Head coach: Karl Hoinkes
Assistant Coaches: Mike Guzaldo, Dan McGuire, Tom Regnier, Ryan Shrader, Joe Nauman
Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Foxes get back to the state playoffs in 2014? Yorkville has a good group returning, yet just winning in the very good Northern Illinois Big 12 East conference is a tall task.
Name to watch: Senior WR Tynan Leachman (6-foot-2, 175 pounds) has some real physical abilities. He will continue to draw recruiting looks this summer and fall.
Biggest Hole To Fill: The Foxes have several starters back from a season ago, yet can this team build up enough depth? The schedule is brutal and Yorkville will need to have two deeps at all spots sooner rather than later.
EDGY's Early Take: Yorkville has done nothing but get better under former Oswego and Hall of Fame head coach Karl Hoinkes. The Foxes have 18 returning starters and look as ready as ever to win this fall.
