CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on August 29th.

School: Joliet Central

Head coach: Brett Boyter

Assistant Coaches: Kyle Knezetic, Brian Levicke, Fred Gandy, Steve Perion, Tony Juarez, Joe Villagran, Justin Boyter, Rick Hockinson, Matt Kennedy, Pat McGovern, Tyrie Brady, Demetrous Hoyle, Kyle Countryman, Brandon Kelly

Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Steelmen win their first game since splitting from the combined Joliet Township program back in 2010?

Name to watch: Both senior WR Josh Morris and senior DE Jake Klima are drawing college interest this spring.

Biggest Hole To Fill: Overall depth and numbers. The Steelmen have worked hard but are still low in overall numbers, especially when comparing them to the likes of conference foes such as Bolingbrook, Lincoln-WayEast, Homewood-Flossmoor and Sandburg among others.

EDGY's early take: Joliet Central is still in search of winning its first varsity football game, yet the program has been a work in progress and has made strides. Central has a new on campus stadium, a terrific coaching staff and support in the community. It might take a bit longer but one of these days the Steelmen will surprise.
