CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2014 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on August 29th.

School: Aurora Central Catholic

Head coach: Brian Casey

Assistant Coaches: John Belskis, Adam Blake, Chris Bonifas, Kent Brauweiler, Luke Brauweiler, Tim Casey, Brandon Christensen, Dan Eul, Josh Fullmer, Chris Goryl, Tom Kero, Dave Schuster

Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Chargers football program keep taking positive steps forward in 2014? ACC has posted two straight 6-4 seasons, yet the overall on the field improvement from the 2012 team to the 2013 was clear.

Name to watch: Both Senior QB/S Matt Rahn and senior OL/DL Jeff Kus are two-way players and two way impact player for the Chargers this fall.

Biggest Hole To Fill: Overall depth and numbers. The Chargers had lower numbers a season ago at the sophomore level and look for the incoming sophomore class to have several players moved up to the varsity roster this fall.

EDGY's Early Take: Aurora Central Catholic has been a terrific story the past few seasons under head coach Brian Casey. The Chargers have made back to back state playoff appearances after a 14 year state playoff drought. Look for more success and another potential state playoff appearance for the Chargers as long as they can stay healthy this fall.
