School: Glenbard East
Head coach: John Walters
Assistant coaches: Bob Stone, Tony Bartolotta, Joe Cristina, Kevin Kane, Jim Walker, Maurice Mason, Jeff Cherry and Brian Fetterolf
Biggest storyline in 2014: Can the Rams find success in a new conference? Glenbard East, along with West Aurora have left the DuPage Valley conference and will now play in the Upstate Eight conference starting this season.
Name to watch: Senior offensive tackle Chris Ryan (6-foot-7, 245 pounds) needs to add a bit more bulk. However, he still has the frame of an OT, something that is in extremely short supply in the Class of 2015. Expect Ryan to draw plenty of looks this summer and fall.
Biggest hole To fill: The Rams have plenty of experience coming back in just about every spot except the defensive backfield. They will need to develop four new starters in the secondary as fast as possible.
EDGY's early take: On the surface, it seems like the Rams could be primed for a good run in 2014. Glenbard East has two very solid classes, including a junior class that has had success at both the freshman and sophomore levels. Getting off to a good start in non-conference play is paramount.
