Biggest storyline in 2014: In 2013 the Hawks played a ton of underclassmen. Will that experience from last fall pay off in 2014? Also, can the Hawks beat either Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley this season? Neuqua Valley, Waubonsie Valley and Metea Valley will all leave the Upstate Eight for the DuPage Valley Conference in 2015.
Name to watch: Senior quarterback Jordan Flint (6-foot-4, 190 pounds) will be a three-year varsity starter for the Hawks. Flint is drawing several college looks this spring.
Biggest hole to fill: Overall depth.
EDGY's early take: The Hawks and Meaney have some experience coming back this season and that's a positive. The negative? Playing in what has become a powerhouse conference in the Upstate Eight. If Bartlett can develop some overall depth, while also keeping Flint on the field as much as possible, goods things could be in store this fall.
