Niles Notre Dame senior running back Chris James (5-foot-10, 208 pounds) ended his recruiting process when he gave Pitt his verbal commitment.
"I just felt like, if you know what you're doing and where you're going, there's no reason to hold out," James said. "I figured, what's the point of waiting? There's no reason to make everyone anxious and wondering about what you're going to do. what's the point of doing that when you know where you want to go? So I just went ahead and did it and committed to Pitt."

What made my Mom and myself feel good about the school and the distance was the coaches, including my recruiting coach Lester Erb. Coach Erb has been recruiting me since I was a sophomore and he was at Iowa. I know that I'll be with good people at Nevada. I also got along great with the players and I feel at homer at Nevada. I trust the people at Nevada and so does my Mom."
