This week's edition of the CSN Preps Basketball Power Rankings saw a major shakeup as many teams throughout the previous top 25 lost games and saw a change in their ranking.

While the top 5 remained the same, some changes began to go down soon after as Zion-Benton, Simeon and Morgan Park were three top-10 teams to fall while many teams in the middle of the rankings lost as well.

Only two newcomers this week as familiar faces No. 24 Morton and No. 25 Hillcrest join the rankings. Morton topped Proviso East on the road while Hillcrest has reeled off 12 straight wins.

We'll have many of these teams and more of the top Chicago matchups on this week's edition of High School Lites live at 11 p.m., Friday on CSN Chicago and streaming on the website at CSNChicago.com

1. Curie (22-1) (1)

The Condors took a big game over No. 8 Simeon in the Public League quarterfinals and its the second time this season that Curie has won against the Wolverines. Cliff Alexander only had 16 points in each of those games, but it shows that Curie is deeper than people give them credit for. The Condors now face Hyde Park in the Public League semifinals on Wednesday.

2. Stevenson (23-1) (2)

Stevenson picked up two wins over Lake Zurich and Mundelein but have a big week looming with No. 12 Lake Forest and No. 8 Simeon. The Patriots are in control oft the North Suburban Lake and control their own destiny.

3. Marian Catholic (21-2) (3)

Nice week for the Spartans as they pick up wins over Providence and St. Patrick. Marian Catholic has difficult games against Carmel and No. 12 Lake Forest this weekend.

4. Whitney Young (20-5) (4)

The Dolphins continue to win in the Public League Playoffs and knocked off No. 10 Morgan Park as Miles Reynolds had a big game after suffering an injury. Now Whitney Young has to get past No. 5 Orr in the semifinals on Wednesday.

5. Orr (20-3) (5)

Nice win for Orr over Uplift in the Public League quarterfinals as Tyquone Greer played his best game of the season and Marlon Jones had another strong outing. Can Orr get revenge against No. 4 Whitney Young in the city semifinals?

6. Fremd (23-0) (7)

Great week for Fremd as they knocked off Huntley for a road win and also earned a huge statement win over Conant. The Vikings are legitimate and they can defend most of the teams in the area.

7. Zion-Benton (21-3) (6)

The Zee-Bees fell to No. 12 Lake Forest during the week but have a few games against inferior competition to get prepared for the postseason.

8. Simeon (18-5) (9)

The Wolverines fell to No. 1 Curie and will have another crack at a top team when they face No. 2 Stevenson this weekend. Robert Smith's team still has plenty of time to figure things out before the playoffs.

9. York (23-2) (11)

The Dukes continue to steamroll the West Suburban Silver, but they have two huge road games at Hinsdale Central and at Oak Park-River Forest this week to win the conference. The Red Devils are only a game behind and York barely won against both of these teams at home earlier this season so its a big week for them.

10. Morgan Park (16-6) (10)

The Mustangs fell to No. 4 Whitney Young in the Public League quarterfinals and the Mustangs will have some time to prepare for the Class 3A drive to repeat.

11. Larkin (23-3) (15)

The Royals are quietly putting together a top-ten season as they beat previously ranked Geneva and No. 18 North Chicago in the Kaneland Shootout. With their senior guards, they'll be a potential title contender. Their losses: No. 10 Morgan Park, No. 7 Zion-Benton and Benet and Sean O'Mara.

12. Lake Forest (20-4) (16)

Another great week for the Scouts as they bested Deerfield at home on Tuesday before also knocking off the No. 7 Zee-Bees of Zion-Benton at home to even the season series. Lake Forest has four straight high-quality wins and they face No. 2 Stevenson and No. 3 Marian Catholic this weekend in what should be another huge test.

13. Bogan (24-4) (14)

Bye week for Bogan as they continue to prepare for the IHSA playoffs. Did they learn from the loss to Farragut? The Bengals still won the Red-South and should be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason.

14. Mount Carmel (19-6) (18)

The Caravan continue to win as they won against St. Laurence and in the first round of the Catholic League Tournament against Hales. Now Mount Carmel gets a rematch with No. 15 St. Joseph on Wednesday in the semifinals of the tournament.

15. St. Joseph (18-4) (19)

The Chargers picked up a share of the Catholic North title with a huge win at No. 19 Loyola and also won against Providence in the Catholic League Tournament. Now that they're at full strength, St. Joseph is a legitimate contender and will face No. 14 Mount Carmel on Wednesday.

16. Thornwood (18-4) (20)

The Thunderbirds keep winning and they're playing great and balanced ball. At 11-0, Thornwood is atop the Southwest Suburban Red and will have a big game against Bradley-Bourbonnais during the week.

17. Proviso East (18-5) (12)

Proviso East needed triple overtime to knock off Hinsdale South before losing to Morton in the rematch of a close game earlier in the season. The Pirates have some winnable games against Downers South and Willowbrook this week to try to bounce back.

18. North Chicago (20-4) (13)

The Warhawks split against Warren (win) and No. 11 Larkin (loss) and will try to bounce back against Wauconda during the week. North Chicago now has JayQuan McCloud back and will try to get its lineup back and rolling before the playoffs.

19. Loyola (19-4) (8)

The Ramblers lost to No. 15 St. Joseph at home and also fell to De La Salle in the first round of the Catholic League Tournament on Sunday. Not a strong week from Loyola and they have a really talented St. Rita team on Wednesday in the consolation bracket.

20. St. Viator (18-5) (22)

The Lions smashed Notre Dame and they'll have Saint Patrick this week. St. Viator is talented enough to compete for a state title but can they stop teams with strong interior scoring?

21. Maine South (20-5) (23)

The Hawks beat Niles West during the week and should be able to get past Glenbrook South next week. Another 20-win season for Tony Lavorato and company.

22. Fenwick (18-7) (25)

Two wins for the Friars during the week, who are suddenly looking very strong with Scott Lindsey back. Fenwick beat Leo before making a major statement with a win over St. Rita in the Catholic League Tournament's first round.

23. West Aurora (18-5) (17)

The Blackhawks fell to Glenbard North and gave up their DuPage Valley Conference lead as they're now tied with Naperville Central and Glenbard North at 9-2 in the league. Can West Aurora bounce back from some recent losses?

24. Morton (16-5) (NR)

Previously ranked earlier in the season, the Mustangs are back in the rankings following a recent stretch of solid wins including wins against Hinsdale South and a double-digit road win at No. 17 Proviso East. Weisner Perez is a legitimate scoring threat from all three levels and Greg Carter can play as well.

25. Hillcrest (17-6) (NR)

A preseason Power Rankings team returns as the Hawks have won 12 consecutive games including some nice wins at Rock Island, at Oak Forest and home against Homewood-Flossmoor. Junior center Taylor Adway is legit.

Previously ranked: No. 21 St. Rita (15-7), No. 24 Geneva (19-5)
