No. 11 Montini Catholic

2013 record: 13-1 (7-0); finished first in the Suburban Christian Blue. Lost to Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin, 38-28, in the Class 5A State Finals.

Why did the Broncos make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? If any program in the State of Illinois can reload it's Montini Catholic.

Areas of concern? The Broncos will need to replace 10 starters on defense, along with replacing several offensive skill position players.

It will be a good season if: Montini gets off to a good start. The Broncos open up at Maine South, then host East St. Louis and travel to St. Rita in Week 3 before opening up conference play in the new Chicago Catholic League Green.

Headliners? Senior wide receiver Leon Thornton (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) is the lone returning offensive skill player for the Broncos. Thornton is verbally committed to Indiana.

Biggest game? It seems like almost every week is a big game for the Broncos. Sept. 12 at St. Rita will be a good early indicator of how well Montini can match-up against a traditional CCL Blue power in the Mustangs.
