CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2015 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on Aug. 28.

No. 15 Glenbard North Panthers

2014 record: 4-5 (2-3) finished fifth in the DuPage Valley Conference. The Panthers failed to qualify for the state playoffs.

Why did the Panthers make the @CSNPreps Power Rankings? The Panthers return some key players and also gain a ton of varsity experience from a very young team last season.

Areas of concern heading into the 2015 season? Can Glenbard North finish off close games with wins? The Panthers missed the state playoffs in 2014 by just a handful of points.

It will be a good season if: Glenbard North can run the football and the defense comes of age.

Headliners? Senior running back Devion Hodges, junior wide receiver Jace James, senior defensive lineman Lucas Cherry and senior defensive back Justin Pitts are all keys for the Panthers.

Biggest game of 2015? Sept. 11 vs. Wheaton Warrenville South. Glenbard North lost to the Tigers, 7-3, in Week 8 last season and that defeat kept the Panthers at home during the playoffs. I have a feeling this game has been circled on the calendar at Glenbard North for quite some time.

Did you know? Glenbard North missed the playoffs last season for the first time since 2002.
