CSNChicago.com is your top destination on the road to the 2015 high school football season. CSN preps contributor “Edgy” Tim O’Halloran will take a look at 100 teams in 100 days, counting down to the opening night kickoff on Aug. 28.

No. 17 Wheaton Warrenville South

2014 Record: 7-5 (4-1), won a share of the DuPage Valley Conference title in 2014. Beat Lincoln-Way North and Normal Community before losing to Providence Catholic in the 7A state quarterfinal round.

Why did the Tigers make the @CSNPreps Power Rankings? The Tigers welcome back several players who ended up seeing significant playing time a season ago.

Areas of concern heading into the 2015 season? Can the Tigers survive the newly realigned DuPage Valley conference which includes the addition of Metea Valley, Neuqua Valley, and Waubonsie Valley?

It will be a good season if: The Tigers settle on a quarterback and the offense can produce on a consistent level.

Headliners? Senior running back Jonathon Johnson will be a key in the running game, while senior DE Solomon Jackson is another name to watch.

Biggest Game of 2015? September 25 at Naperville Central. Truly every game matters on the Tigers schedule this fall, but I expect the matchup at Naperville Central will be a huge showdown.

Did You Know? Wheaton South was 1-4 last season and needed to go to overtime in Week 5 to beat Lake Park to avoid being eliminated from state playoff contention.
