No. 18 Glenbard North
2013 record: 9-2 (7-0); finished first in the DuPage Valley conference. Lost to Stevenson, 20-16, in the second-round of the Class 8A playoffs.
Why did the Panthers make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? Glenbard North just reloads and battles each season. The Panthers feature a speedy and a hard-hitting defense that will keep them in most games.
Areas of concern heading into the 2014 season? They will need to replace the offensive production from three-time All-State running back Justin Jackson (Northwestern).
It will be a good season if: The Panthers can throw the ball with consistency and play strong defense.
Headliners? Senior quarterback Brett Gasiorowski is a big, strong and physical player who continues to draw recruiting looks at a number of positions.
Biggest game in 2014? Sept. 5 at home against Batavia. This game has become a huge non-conference rivalry and will tell us plenty about both teams.
