No. 19 Oswego

2013 record: 9-3 (7-0); finished first in the Southwest Prairie conference. Lost to Marist, 21-7, in the Class 8A quarterfinals.

Why did the Panthers make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? Head coach Brian Cooney and the Panthers always find a way to reload.

Areas of concern heading into the season? The offense will need to replace some key skill players from 2013.

It will be a good season if: The Panthers get off to a good start. Oswego opens up at Batavia, then host Waubonsie Valley.

Headliners? Junior quarterback Steven Frank has early offers from Illinois, Miami (Ohio) and Illinois State. Expect many more offers to follow this fall.

Biggest game in 2014? Sept. 5 at home against Waubonsie Valley. Sure, it's a non conference game but the Warriors were knocked out of the state playoffs by the Panthers last year. This game is quickly becoming a great local rivalry.
