No. 4 Mount Carmel

2013 record: 13-1 (3-1); Tied for first place in the Chicago Catholic League Blue in 2013. Beat Lake Zurich 30-0 to win the Class 7A state title.

Why did the Caravan make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? Despite needing to replace 17 graduated starters in 2014, the Caravan just reloads.

Areas of concern heading into the 2014 season? The lone returning starter on offense is senior OL Jack White (6-foot-3, 290 pounds).

It will be a good season if: the Caravan's depth and overall numbers deliver and can execute on both sides of the ball.

Headliner? Senior offensive guard AJ Duerig (6-foot-4, 281 pounds) transferred into Mount Carmel from Lowell, Ind., and is also verbally committed to Syracuse.

Biggest game in 2014? Loyola Academy vs. Mount Carmel Oct. 24th at Gately Stadium.
