2013 record: 9-2 (6-1); finished second in the Southwest Suburban Blue in 2013. Lost to Naperville Central 24-21 in the Class 8A second round.

Why did the Vikings make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? Because one of these days the Vikings will win a Class 8A state title. H-F looks to have everything in place for another strong run this season.

Areas of concern heading into the 2014 season? The Vikings will need to reload a bit at a few key spots including quarterback.

It will be a good season if: the Vikings can win close games. H-F 's last three losses have been by a combined 12 points, with two of those losses coming in the IHSA state playoffs.

Headliners? Junior offensive guard Desmond Bland has a handful of early offers and is in line for more starting this fall.

Biggest game in 2014? Homewood-Flossmoor at Bolingbrook on Friday, Oct. 10th.
