No. 7 Cary-Grove

2013 record: 7-4 (5-1); finished second in the Fox Valley (Valley) Conference. Lost to Rockford Boylan, 17-10, in the Class 6A quarterfinals.

Why did the Trojans make the CSN Preps Power Rankings? Cary-Grove returns 16 starters (nine offense, seven defense) from a very talented team.

Areas of concern? Can the Trojans offense get into a high scoring shootout when needed?

It will be a good season if: Cary-Grove's offense never gives the football back, and plays its traditional fast and physical defense.

Headliners? Senior offensive guard Trevor Ruhland (6-foot-4, 280 pounds) is one of four returning starting offensive linemen. Ruhland is verbally committed to Notre Dame.

Biggest game? Cary-Grove will head to Lake Zurich on Sept. 5.
