If you happen to be a fan of Illinois prep football, you might want to root for the Denver Broncos Sunday in Super Bowl 50.

Here are three players on the Broncos roster with Illinois high school roots:

TE Owen Daniels (6-foot-3, 245 pounds) - Daniels, who is playing in his 10th NFL season (and first for the Broncos), was actually a quarterback for Naperville Central. In his junior season, he led the Redhawks to an undefeated 14-0 season and a 1999 Class 6A (then the largest class in Illinois) state title. Daniels suffered an early season ending knee injury in his senior year. He wound up committing to Wisconsin and was converted to tight end by the Badgers.
