Stevenson junior wide receiver recruit Cameron Green (6-foot-1, 189 pounds) has been busy this winter on the hardwood for the Patriots state-ranked basketball team, yet he has also stayed busy keeping track of his football recruiting process. Green now has six scholarship offers, including one from Iowa State on Wednesday.

"I got an offer from Iowa State," according to Green. "I have been talking to coach Derek Day a little bit. We were building a relationship, but (the offer) was a little unexpected."

Green, the son of former Notre Dame and Chicago Bears running back Mark Green, now has offers from Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Purdue and Toledo.

-- Iowa State also extended recent scholarship offers to Lemont junior wide receiver Flynn Nagel and Naperville Central junior inside linebacker Bobby McMillen.

-- Jacksonville, Ill. 2015 offensive tackle Gabe Megginson (6-foot-5, 289 pounds) had a memorable day this past Tuesday. Megginson added scholarship offers from Ohio State, Cal and Miami (Fla.) all on Tuesday.

"I still have a lot of homework to do," joked Megginson. "Seriously, it's pretty amazing and overwhelming. I had a feeling Ohio State would offer because they wanted me to call them at a specific time tonight, and that's usually when they want to offer (and) to have me talk to a head coach. I just didn''t see the other two offers (Cal and Miami) coming at all."

Megginson now is touting 19 scholarship offers, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin, among others.

-- Lincoln-Way West 2016 offensive tackle Bryan Brokop (6-foot-5, 274 pounds) made news last week adding his first scholarship offer from Nebraska. Illinois and head coach Tim Beckman then offered Brokop a scholarship the following day.

"Getting an offer from Illinois is awesome because it's so close to home." Brokop said. "They have a great school."

-- Phillips had a terrific 2013 season, making it to the 2013 Class 4A state quarterfinal round. The Wildcats and head coach Troy McAllister have three underclassmen to watch in junior defensive back Jamal Brown (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) along with junior quarterback Dewayne Collins (6-foot-2, 180 pounds) and sophomore wide receiver Quayvon Skanes (5-foot-10, 170 pounds). All three are drawing recruiting looks from the likes of Indiana, Iowa State, Illinois, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Bowling Green.

-- Mount Carmel and head coach Frank Lenti will graduate a ton of Division I talent this spring, yet the cupboard is far from bare. Mount Carmel junior defensive back Maquise Peggs (6-feet, 170 pounds) has two offers so far from Central Michigan and Western Michigan, and is drawing looks from several Big Ten programs.
