East St. Louis senior defensive tackle Terry Beckner Jr. (6-foot-4, 298 pounds, four-star recruit in Rivals.com rankings) made his first official visit to Florida State this past weekend.
"It was incredible; way better than I expected," Beckner Jr. said after his trip. "Everyone [at Florida State] are just real people. They aren't uptight and made me feel at home."
Beckner Jr. has yet to set any other official visits but previously indicated he could also make official visit to both Missouri and Ohio State.
DePaul Prep senior four-star defensive end Raequan Williams (6-foot-6, 280 pounds) has made two official visits so far, one to Iowa (October 31st) and one to Michigan State (November 21st), and for now it remains unclear whether Williams will make any additional official visits before making his college choice.
Williams recently told Rivals.com's midwest recruiting expert Josh Helmholdt, "I was going to go to Arizona, but they have a championship game so I don't think I'm going to go this weekend. It's up in the air whether I'll be able to (reschedule)."
Williams, who previously narrowed down his list of favorites to Arizona, Iowa and Michigan State, seems to be getting a bit anxious to make a decision soon.
"I really want to get it over. I haven't talked with my mom about it, but I really want to get it done before the New Year. My mom really thinks I should give Arizona a look on an official visit."

Oak Lawn Richards senior three-star wide receiver Spencer Tears (6-foot-1, 172 pounds) is also one of the highest ranked uncommitted recruits in Chicagoland for the Class of 2015. So what's going on with Tears these days?
"I'm playing basketball right now," Tears said. "But I have one official visit set and I'm hoping to get a few others set soon. I'm going to visit Syracuse on January 16th. I'm also looking hard at Louisville, Bowling Green and also Purdue. I'm looking to take at least a few official visits before I make a college decision."
Tears originally was committed to Nebraska but then backed off that verbal commitment back in May.
Libertyville junior quarterback Riley Lees (6-foot-1, 190 pounds) had an all-state caliber season for the Wildcats. Lees also has drawn an early scholarship offer and recruiting interest from several schools this fall.
"I have an offer from Wofford," according to Lees. "My older brother played at Wofford and they offered me a scholarship around mid-season this year. It feels great to have that first offer. I'm also starting to get mail from schools like Michigan State, Boston College, Minnesota, Iowa, Toledo and a few smaller level schools. They all want to see my season ending video and they also want me to stay in touch."
Chicago Mount Carmel senior defensive back Marquise Peggs (5-foot-11, 170 pounds) will make his first official visit this weekend to Wyoming. Peggs is also planning to make official visits to Harvard and Yale next week, along with Central Michigan in January. Peggs has scholarship offers from Wyoming, NIU, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo, Buffalo, Miami of Ohio, Illinois State and Ball State.
