Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, voted on by the SEC coaches.

The Crete-Monee product registered 67 catches this season, 557 receiving yards, and five touchdown receptions, all of which broke school records by a freshman and ranked No. 1 in the conference among freshman receivers.

Treadwell, who also caught a freshman school record nine passes in his season debut against Vanderbilt, was the No. 1 ranked wide receiver coming out of high school by ESPN last year.

Treadwell and the Rebels will wrap-up the 2013 season on Dec. 30 when they square off with Georgia Tech in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.
