Former Joliet Catholic and USC running back Ty Isaac (6-foot-3, 225 pounds) has decided to transfer to Michigan after taking campus visits to both Illinois and Michigan. Isaac, who was given a release from his USC scholarship in May due to a family issue, talked about why he decided to pledge to the Wolverines.

"I decided that I'm going to transfer to Michigan," Isaac said Thursday morning. "I had a good visit there and it's just the place where I feel the most comfortable. I didn't want to drag all of this out and see a ton of schools. Michigan was in my final three when I committed to USC and the reasons I liked Michigan are still very much in place."
Isaac, a five-star ranked recruit from the Class of 2013, will now plan on heading to Ann Arbor, yet exactly when Isaac will hit the field remains to be seen.
"I need to enroll and then go through the hardship process with the NCAA," he said. "I'm hoping to be able to be eligible right away but now I'm just excited about Michigan."
