“CSN Chicago's High School Lites will have cameras across the city and suburbs on Saturday, as teams take one last step to reach DeKalb next weekend and the IHSA State Football finals. The EDGYTIM Game of the Week will be a Class 7A classic as Lake Zurich travels to Glen Ellyn to battle Glenbard West off the shores of Lake Ellyn. Can Montini Catholic beat a revenge-minded Sycamore team? Also: can Stevenson keep the ‘Drive’ alive against Loyola in Class 8A?

Class 8A

Loyola (11-1) @ Stevenson (10-2) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Can the Patriots dent the always tough Loyola defense? Can Loyola win on the road? Key matchup here? Stevenson offensive line versus the Loyola defensive line.

Prediction: Loyola 24, Stevenson 17

Marist (9-3) @ Naperville Central (9-3) 7:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: If it's dry (and calm) let it fly. Both Redhawks have shown that they can adjust to the poor weather conditions to advance. If the weather and winds cooperate, the scoreboard could be busy. Then again, both teams have played much improved defense in the postseason. Key matchup? Marist wide receivers against the Naperville Central defensive backs.

Prediction: Naperville Central 36, Marist 34

Class 7A

Lake Zurich (11-1) @ Glenbard West (11-1) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Defense versus defense. Speed versus speed. Can the Bears run the ball? Can the Hilltoppers run the ball? I expect another terrific, close and low scoring affair. Key matchup? Whoever wins the turnover/penalty battle wins this game.

Prediction: Glenbard West 17, Lake Zurich 10

Mount Carmel (11-1) @ Edwardsville (12-0) 3:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Nothing comes easy when it's worth it, and the Caravan could be driving into a hornet's nest on Saturday. Can Mount Carmel's run option offense run against the Edwardsville defense? Can the Tigers matchup physically with the Caravan? Can the Caravan match the Tigers team speed? Key matchup? Mount Carmel offensive line against the Edwardsville defensive line.

Prediction: Mount Carmel 17, Edwardsville 14

Class 6A

Batavia (11-1) @ Rockford Boylan (12-0) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Boylan has been there and done that, yet what about Batavia? Can the Bulldogs overcome on the road and win in Rockford? Can Rockford win if it's limited in the passing game? Can the Bulldogs make Boylan junior quarterback Demry Croft uncomfortable in the pocket? Key matchup? Boylan defense against the Batavia offensive skill positions.

[MORE: Washington will bounce back from devastation

Prediction: Batavia 26, Boylan 20

Richards (11-1) @ East St. Louis (9-3) 3:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: One explosive team against another. Can Richards handle its first road trip of the state playoffs? Can the Flyers handle the speed from the Bulldogs on both sides off the ball? Key matchup? Richards wide receivers against the Flyers secondary.

Prediction: East St. Louis 37, Richards 36

Class 5A

Sycamore (12-0) @ Montini Catholic (12-0) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Is this the year that Montini goes down? Can Sycamore slay the Class 5A giant in Maroon? Montini needed last-minute heroics to win against Joliet Catholic, could we see more of the same this week? Key matchup? Montini secondary against Sycamore wide receiver Ben Niemann.

Prediction: Montini 30, Sycamore 27

Washington (12-0) @ Sacred Heart-Griffin (11-1) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: The Panthers will be sky high and emotional, yet can that emotion slow down the state's most potent offense from Sacred Heart-Griffin? SHG has rolled the entire side of its bracket so far, and has scored 620 points in 12 games. Key matchup? Washington defense against the Sacred Heart-Griffin offense.

Prediction: Sacred Heart Griffin 38, Washington 21

Class 4A

Rockford Lutheran (11-1) @ Geneseo (11-1) 1:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Can Lutheran win if standout sophomore running back James Robinson can't go after suffering a second half injury in last week's win? Can Geneseo keep bullying it's way to DeKalb with it's punishing running game? Key matchup? The Rockford Lutheran defensive line against the Green Machine offensive line.

Prediction: Geneseo 28, Rockford Lutheran 12

Rock Island Alleman (10-2) @ Rochester (11-1) 3:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Alleman is another running team that will need to use ball control for a win. Rochester and head coach Derek Leonard is simply one of the top young coaches in Illinois with an offense that has been electric. Key matchup? Time of possession.

Prediction: Rochester 41, Rock Island Alleman 27

Class 3A

Stillman Valley (10-2) @ Aurora Christian (9-3) 5:00 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Stillman Valley and head coach Mike Lawlor like to run the ball. A lot. Don Beebe likes to throw the ball and score points in a hurry. Key matchup? Aurora Christian passing game against the Cardinals pass defense.

Prediction: Aurora Christian 34, Stillman Valley 31

Class 2A

Mercer County (11-1) @ Sterling Newman Central Catholic (11-1) 1:00 p.m.

Prediction: Sterling Newman Central Catholic 31, Mercer County 28

Auburn (10-2) @ Staunton (8-4) 1:00 p.m.

Prediction: Staunton 25, Auburn 19

Prediction: St. Rita 27, Fenwick 26
