Last year, Jahlil Okafor saw how the city of Chicago reacted when they saw local talent Jabari Parker take the floor in the McDonald's All-American Game at the United Center.
He's hoping the fans can give him the same kind of love when he takes the court for the same game on April 2nd.
"It was kind of amazing to see Jabari go out there in front of all those fans, and they embraced him," Okafor said. "He got a standing ovation when he came out. That kind of gave me chills. I've been waiting for that moment ever since then."
Okafor recently came off a devastating four-overtime loss to rival Curie and Cliff Alexander. The Duke-bound center talked about his budding rivalry with Alexander and how he respects his counterpart.
"Cliff is one of my really good friends," Okafor said. "For him to be a McDonald's All-American along with me also, we're just happy to be participating in that game. Being here in Chicago makes it all better."
See what else Okafor had to say including how he would feel if the Bulls drafted him out of college in the video above.
