Northwestern added it's third in-state verbal commitment to the Class of 2015 with Stevenson three-star ranked senior wide receiver Cameron Green.
"I just committed to Northwestern," Green said. "I thought about waiting on a few other schools, but the more I looked at everything the more I knew I was ready. I called up the coaches at Northwestern and gave them my verbal commitment."
Green, who is the son of former Notre Dame and Bears running back Mark Green, admitted that the strong academics offered at Northwestern sold him on the Wildcats.
"The academics really sold me on Northwestern. I will have a chance to set myself up for the next 40 years including life after football with a degree from Northwestern. Other schools offer Big Ten level football but no one really offered the entire package like Northwestern does."
Green is now the 15th verbal commitment in the Wildcats' 2015 class. Green joins fellow in-state pledges in Wheaton South linebacker Tommy Vitale and Oak Park-River Forest offensive tackle Adam Lemke-Bell.
