National signing day in college basketball circles is known to make or break a program. Two of the best big men prospects in the Chicago Public League will do just that.
Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor and Curie power forward Cliff Alexander will announce their college choices at their respective schools Friday afternoon.
Okafor, the reigning Chicago Sun-Times Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year, will decide between Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and Baylor.
Alexander will decide whether to take his talents to either Illinois, Memphis, DePaul or Kansas.
Other standout players from the class of 2014 who have already made their commitments are Marian Catholic point guard Tyler Ulis (Kentucky), Whitney Young forward Paul White (Georgetown) and St. Rita forward Vic Law (Northwestern).
