“CSN Chicago’s High School Lites will have cameras across the city and suburbs Friday night, including a huge NI Big 12 East and Class 5A showdown in as the Kaneland Knights travel to Sycamore to take on the Spartans.  Plus, it's another edition of DuPage Valley Survivor as Glenbard North travels to Wheaton to take on Wheaton South . Also can anyone stop the run when Nottre Dame travels to Joliet Catholic in an important ESCC conference battle? We’ll bring you highlights of the following games at 11:00 Friday night: ”

Plainfield South @ Oswego, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: The wacky Southwest Prairie conference race seems to have a front runner in Oswego (5-2). The Panthers have been throwing the football a ton with sophomore quarterback Steven Frank. Plainfield South (5-2) counters with senior running back Josh Harris along with a defense led by senior All-American senior linebacker Clifton Garrett. Can the Panthers defense slow down Josh Harris? Can the Cougars defense slow down Air Oswego? Can anyone stop anyone in the Southwest Prairie?

Prediction: Oswego 34, Plainfield South 21

TF North @ TF South, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Both the Meteors and the Rebels are 3-4 and the winner gets the Wooden Shoe and Mushroom traveling trophy along with sending it's District 215 rival school home come state playoff time. TF South has won 22 of the last 24 meetings here.

Prediction: TF South 32, TF North 22

Harvard @ Genoa-Kingston, 7 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Both are undefeated in the Big Northern East conference. Harvard (7-0) has been perfect so far this season behind an offense that can run it with RB Jose Mejila, RB Christian Kramer or throw it with QB Peyton Schneider. Genoa-Kinston (4-3) is in playoff mode this week yet don't let the losses fool you, the Cogs have played a very tough non-schedule this season. I'm taking the home team in an upset here.

Prediction: Genoa-Kingston 29, Harvard 26

(20) Kaneland @ Sycamore 7:15 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Kaneland (7-0) has a very solid core of experienced senior starters led by senior QB Drew David and a big and very physical line. Sycamore (7-0) and head coach Joe Ryan will look to run the ball behind RB Riley Hurley yet injured junior RB Dion Hooker could potentially play this week for the Spartans. Sycamore senior WR/S Ben Niemann (Iowa) is impact player to watch here for Sycamore. Can the Knights slow down the Spartans one-two punch on offense? Can Sycamore take the air out of the passing game from Kaneland?

Prediction: Sycamore 37, Kaneland 34

(3) Mount Carmel vs Providence Catholic @ Gately Stadium, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Mount Carmel (6-1) played last week without standout RB Matt Domer and Domer is also expected to mis this week as well. The Caravan have plenty of capable backs on hands and one of the state's top defenses. Providence Catholic (4-3) pulled off a big come from behind win last week against Fenwick. Can Providence slow down the Caravan veer this week? Can Mount Carmel's defense continue to lock down all comers? If Providence Catholic RB Dom Lagone can get going early this could be a very interesting game.

Prediction: Mount Carmel 21 Providence Catholic 14

(8) Wheaton Warrenville South @ (13) Glenbard North, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: The DuPage Valley has been another wild conference race this season. Glenbard North (6-1) will give the football to do-it-all senior running back Justin Jackson (Northwestern) and look to play tough defense. Wheaton South (6-1) also plays somewhat conservative offense, led by quarterback Ryan Graham (NIU) and South also plays tough defense. The key for the Wheaton South Tigers is finding a way to slow down Justin Jackson here. It's much easier said than done.

Prediction: Glenbard North 21, Wheaton South 14

(15) Naperville Central @ (9) Wheaton North, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Both Wheaton North (6-1) and Naperville Central (5-2) feature top quarterbacks and offensively both are capable of big point and yards. Wheaton North quarterback Clayton Thorson (Northwestern) is a threat with the pass and the run and so is Naperville Central senior quarterback Jake Kolbe (Illinois State). The biggest question is, which defense will blink here?

Prediction: Wheaton North 31 Naperville Central 24

(12) Lincoln-Way East @ (6) Bolingbrook 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Lincoln-Way East (6-1) and head coach Rob Zvonar lives for these big headline games and the Griffins have found an answer on offense in senior quarterback Jordan Wirtz along with senior running back Brian Casey. Casey has overcome a serious knee injury and has been an inspirational story for the Griffins in 2013. Bolingbrook (7-0) had a huge 31-24 overtime win last week in Homewood over the Vikings. The Raiders offense is led by junior quarterback Quincy Woods and a deep stable of backs. Bolingbrook's defense is lights out fast. Can the Griffins offense keep the speedy Raiders defense off balanced? Can the Griffins defense force the Raiders into passing situations?

Prediction: Bolingbrook 21 Lincoln-Way East 17

Notre Dame vs Joliet Catholic @ Joliet Memorial Stadium, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Both teams feature headline running backs in Notre Dame's senior running back Chris James and Joliet Catholic senior running back Mike Ivlow. Notre Dame (6-1) posted a huge win last week over Marist and the Dons can and will throw the ball if required. Joliet Catholic (6-1) has run the ball with MIke Ivlow and the defense is much improved so far in 2013. How healthy is JCA here? Can the Hilltoppers defense slow down Chris James? Can Notre Dame slow down Mike Ivlow?

Prediction: Notre Dame 34 Joliet Catholic 32

Stevenson @ Lake Forest, 7:30 p.m.

EDGY's Take: Stevenson (5-2) has rebounded nicely since a surprising 0-2 start yet the Patriots have a big test this week and next week (Lake Zurich). Stevenson will rely on junior quarterback Willie Bourbon along with senior WR/S Matt Morrissey (Michigan State) along with junior WR Cam Green. Lake Forest (6-1) has a very solid offense and running back Hub Cirame has been a major impact player for the Scouts over the past two seasons and Cirame will get the football early and often. Can Lake Forest slow down the Patriots offense? Can the Stevenson defense find and bring down Hub Cirame?

Prediction: Stevenson 31 Lake Forest 27
