Bolingbrook senior defensive back Parrker Westphal (6-foot-1, 186 pounds) made his second official visit this past weekend to Michigan State.

"My visit to MSU was good," Westphal said. "I got to spend time with the players and get to know them, I spent more time with the coaches. I got to see them play in person, and see how it is on game day. The fans were great, especially their student section."

Westphal, who already made an earlier official visit to Vanderbilt, is hoping to make one more official visit soon.

"I have not set anything up, but we are trying to get up to Northwestern."

Jacobs senior quarterback Bret Mooney (6-foot-4, 207 pounds) gave Colgate his verbal commitment on Tuesday evening.

"Colgate really recruited me the hardest out of any school. I really looked hard at everything and I understand that there is life after football. Colgate offers a great education and I know that I'll leave Colgate with a great degree. Colgate also offers a full scholarship which was also an important part of the decision process for myself and my family."

Oak Park-River Forest senior wide receiver Simmie Cobbs (6-foot-4, 207 pounds) was able to add his first two scholarship offers from Eastern Illinois and Purdue. Cobbs talked about landing his first Big Ten offer from the Boilermakers.

"Purdue offers a great education. They also have a lot to offer on and off the field. I like the coaches so far and I'm definitely going to look hard at Purdue. I have some friends who already go to Purdue and they have nothing but great things to say about the school. I didn't commit just yet but I'm going to really give it a lot of thought."

Nazareth Academy senior defensive end Will Colmery (6-foot-5, 240 pounds) was able to add his first BCS level scholarship offer earlier this week from Wyoming.

"It's exciting and it's also a pretty big offer," Colmery said. "Wyoming has been staying in touch for awhile now and they called and offered me a few days ago. They said they really liked my senior tape and wanted to offer me. I haven't been able to visit them just yet but I might do that soon. I might go for a game unofficially and then go back for an official visit later this year."

Colmery now has offers from Central Michigan, Colgate, Fordham, North Dakota along with his latest offer from Wyoming.
