Emery Lehman is a senior in high school, and spends hours each week traveling to Milwaukee to train at the Pettit National Ice Center. These trips are starting to pay off for the 17-year-old speed skater.

In his 'spare time' Lehman is a defenseman on the hockey team, where he was one of just three sophomores to be named to the All-Star team. He's a star lacrosse player, and was named a captain as a freshman. He also excels in the classroom as an honors student.

Whatever the teenager has tried, he's succeeded in a big way. With all of his early athletic success, the best might be just yet to come.

He's been a U.S. Junior champion, a short and long track national champion, and his once distance hope of making the 2014 Olympic team is becoming a realistic dream.

Lehman's 2013 World Cup season has him just a successful Olympic trial away from being headed to Russia in February.
